Shankar's 2.0 - Eagle Cell Formation

These were Cell Formation Eagle concepts for Rajinikanth's 2.0. The Eagle would be a cloud of cell phones, where the screens would allow the surface colors / patterns to change, which is what is being explored through these images. We tried a lot of different threatening animals / imagery.

I created this in ZBrush. I started by creating a cell phone formation feather and then duplicated, posed and positioned each one until I covered the entire Eagle. The final product turned out pretty cool, but took time to finish.

I had the pleasure of working on 2.0 (2018), the sequel to Enthiran (2010) with the great crew at Legacy Effects.
